Aluminium 1100 Coils are made from commercially pure aluminium, boasting a minimum aluminium content of 99.0%, along with trace amounts of copper (0.05–0.20%), iron (up to 0.95%), and other elements. This alloy is celebrated for its excellent corrosion resistance, high thermal and electrical conductivity, and remarkable formability. With a typical tensile strength ranging from 90 to 140 MPa and good ductility, Aluminium 1100 is perfect for cold working, although it’s not suitable for heat treatment. Its lightweight nature, smooth finish, and ability to endure tough environments make it a go-to material for a variety of industrial applications.

Tempering : Notch toughness can be improved by quenched cooling from hot rolling or normalizing by the supplier. If such a faster cooling rate is agreed upon between purchaser and supplier then the steel is also to be tempered at 1200 F.
