Stainless Steel 440C Channel consists of approximately 1% carbon and 16 to 18% chromium, with some manganese, silicon, and molybdenum added. After undergoing heat treatment the material is very hard and can reach a hardness of 60 HRC, with a tensile strength of approximately 760 MPa and yield strength of about 450 MPa. It is made from material that has excellent wear resistance, excellent strength and is moderately resistant to corrosion, all of which make it a good option for various industrial applications where toughness and strength are important.
